What do young people in Morocco hope for the future?
|
|
|
Join the Youth in Development in Morocco Maymester to explore this question through collaborations with Moroccan college students, homestays with urban and rural families, exchanges with young people from Sub-Saharan immigrant families, and visits to cultural sites in geographically diverse places – urban and rural, desert, mountain, and sea. Includes a visit to Fez, home of the world’s oldest continually-operating university and key in the development of modern science and medicine. Program dates: May 19 through June 8. Open to all Purdue undergraduates regardless of major; no prerequisites. 3 credits in Human Development & Family Studies.

Strengthen your Candidacy Learn Beyond the Classroom
|
|
|
- If this is your second semester, at Purdue and you participated in a career exploration experience such as a first-year seminar, honors seminar, or learning community during the fall semester you may write a career and professional development report on that experience and earn 1 point toward the LBC certificate.
- Or, perhaps, you attended a leadership development conference or were a teaching assistant last semester---that will earn you points in service, citizenship, and leadership.
- Were you a mentor or did you attend, plan or lead a domestic or international diversity event? Those activities count toward experience with domestic and international diversity.
There are many more pursuits in which you could have taken part that are eligible for LBC points. Take a look at the tables that are on the CoS website (Click Here) to determine whether what you have done fits the criteria. Do you need financial support to pursue an experiential learning activity? Are you going to a conference? Studying abroad? Doing community service? Apply for an LBC grant. WISP Leadership Opportunities |

Showcase your passion for Science while raising up and empowering other undergraduate women by applying to serve as a Mentor in the Women In Science Program (WISP). If you will be returning for the 2022-2023 academic year as a full-time student in the College of Science at Purdue University, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 and are passionate about the promotion of women in STEM, you are encouraged to apply. WISP Mentors encourage, support and challenge a first year female student in the WISP learning community to aid in her successful transition and sense of belonging to Purdue University and the College of Science, while offering and partnering in personal and professional development opportunities, experiences and discussions. WISP-WIEP Honors Tutors are high-ability students earning 3.5+ cumulative GPA and have mastered entry level science and engineering courses and can serve role-models for women in our Residential Learning Communities. Applicants should possess good communication skills, an interest in helping other students, a strong academic record, and the ability to be a contributing member of a team. Tutors work three to five hours per week, Sunday through Thursday nights from 7 - 10 p.m. in the Shreve URSC as well as online. March 24, 2022 from 7-10pm Fowler Hall and Live streamed The Pitch Competition is open to any currently enrolled Purdue WL student involved in a research or creative endeavor in any major and discipline. The work can be an independent project or when working with a research mentor.
